Where Golfing Legend meets its Future.

Challenge
Vardon Flyer is a Toronto-based revolutionary golf training center and leisure facility like no other. Opening its doors in 2022, it set out to break the mold, and give the established and burgeoning golfing community a new and exciting way to get their head into the game. Our focus was to create a new logo and strong brand aesthetic that would translate well across apparel and merchandise.

A new kind of home for golf
Vardon Flyer is a new kind of facility with a unique challenge: to provide an alternative home for season golfers while encouraging the next generation of players to try their hand at the sport. We needed to present a revolution, welcoming in a new and exciting era for golf while celebrating the greatness that led us here.
Starting with their mission of providing golfers with everything they need to become the best in the world, we worked closely with the people behind Vardon Flyer to understand their practical, emotional and inspirational needs of golfers both established and new.




A celebration of sport
Our design process began with a discovery workshop with the people behind Vardon Flyer where we explored the purpose, vision, and aspirations for the facility. An explorative and collaborative design process followed as we took them on a journey through a variety of design routes to explore and define the brand.
Together we embarked on a journey of brand revolution, bringing together vibrant contemporary graphics with a vintage sporting aesthetic inspired by the legendary Harry Vardon himself to create a bold new logo and visual identity that was a timeless celebration of golfing excellence.
A new mark
Our revolution began with a new suite of logomarks that epitomises the premium, authentic and modern aesthetic.
We looked to Harry Vardon himself to inspire a bold new logo that was to define Vardon Flyer. The versatile logos draw inspiration from American vintage sporting aesthetics and the graphic detailing of the famous Vardon Ball and transport them into the 21st century.




Inspiring the next generation
Together with a bold, athletic font, a premium colour palette of red, black, gold and cream combine sporting heritage with timeless golfing passion, inspiring a broad spectrum of golfers to pick up their clubs. Brand guidelines present a formula for design, bringing the Vardon Flyer brand to life across marketing to merchandise, apparel, environmental design and digital platforms.
