Pocketworks helps UK businesses develop mobile apps with a focus on CX, UX and business outcomes. A business that leads by example, Pocketworks approached us to deliver a rebrand that would both communicate their human approach, and epitomise its culture.

Designed by the people

Pocketworks is a business made up of many individual voices, with a democratic culture that means each is given equal weight and attention. Our challenge was to define a brand that brought them all together to create a collective voice: one that reflected each individual whilst evoking the true essence of the business.

Our work began with the people. We held conversations with every Pocketeer as we set out to understand each of their tastes, points of view and visions beyond the work to create a full company rebrand that was designed by the people.

Bringing Pocketworks to life

Starting with the logo, our transformation brought to life Pocketworks’ friendliness across a complete new brand identity, website design, interior design, and a collection of illustrations that expressed their people-first approach to what they do.

A new mark

A new logo became the defining emblem of Pocketworks with its warm circularity forming both a pocket and company initial while taking the shape of an app icon, representing the business offering. The logo was deployed across all communication touchpoints and recreated in neon to form a symbolic piece of art to unite the office. A cheerful orange was central to the brand guidelines, alongside fun, hand drawn iconography that communicates the human feel and energetic character of the brand.

Illustrating Pocketworks

The refreshed website puts the illustrated pocketeers to work as they guide visitors through the pages, bringing to life the business offering with Pocketworks’ signature fun and charm.
